What PARC Means to Me: Kevin

As we celebrate 45 years of PARC, we’re excited to continue sharing PARC Stories, highlighting what PARC truly means to our members. This month, we’re featuring Kevin’s story.

When did you first start coming to PARC?

I started coming to PARC about thirty years ago.

What activities or programs do you participate in at PARC?

I work here at PARC and for programs and activities play hockey, come every day to the drop-in to play dominos.

What does PARC mean to you?

PARC is a good place to hang out and meet people. 

How has being part of PARC impacted your life?

PARC has impacted my life by keeping me out of jail and off drugs. 

What would you like the community to know about PARC?

I would let the community that PARC is a good place for the homeless and people with mental health issues. 

Something you think is special about PARC?

First and foremost, something I think is special about PARC is the way the staff treat people especially Jessica and Patrick treat people is amazing. It is not a job for them, they are here to help people.
