As we celebrate 45 years of PARC, we’re excited to continue sharing PARC Stories, highlighting what PARC truly means to our members. This month, we’re featuring Kevin’s story.

When did you first start coming to PARC?

I started coming to PARC about thirty years ago.

What activities or programs do you participate in at PARC?

I work here at PARC and for programs and activities play hockey, come every day to the drop-in to play dominos.

What does PARC mean to you?

PARC is a good place to hang out and meet people. 

How has being part of PARC impacted your life?

PARC has impacted my life by keeping me out of jail and off drugs. 

What would you like the community to know about PARC?

I would let the community that PARC is a good place for the homeless and people with mental health issues. 

Something you think is special about PARC?

First and foremost, something I think is special about PARC is the way the staff treat people especially Jessica and Patrick treat people is amazing. It is not a job for them, they are here to help people. 

Water Damaged Ceiling — $1500.00

This ceiling has weathered too much weather. Help restore it and keep our supportive housing safe and dry!

Radiator Replacement — $5000.00

This radiator has seen some warmer days. Replacing it will help keep members cozy this winter.

Wall Patching — $800.00

These walls need some care. Your gift helps repair damage and keep our spaces bright and inviting.

Front-step Repair — $500.00

These steps welcome community members. With your help, we can keep everyone safe as they come.

Window Replacement — $600.00

Sometimes duct tape isn’t the answer… Help replace windows in our geared-to-income apartments!

Buy a meal for a member — $7.50

We know the first step in rebuilding your life is a warm meal. Your contribution will feed a PARC member.
