Money Matters

The Money Matters program is committed to empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge needed for effective financial management, with a focus on fostering housing stability and preventing homelessness. Through comprehensive financial literacy training and harm reduction strategies, this initiative aims to guide participants toward independent banking and long-term financial security. 

Voluntary Trustee Banking Program  
The Money Matters program is designed to help individuals who need assistance with financial management, with a specific focus on promoting housing stability. The program aims to prevent homelessness by enhancing clients’ financial literacy, providing harm reduction strategies, and ultimately guiding them toward independent banking.   
 
Some spots are reserved for city clients who have gone through the referral process via Streets to Homes, while others are reserved for internal PARC clients.  
 
Financial Literacy Training 
The Money Matters staff collaborate to provide financial literacy training for  
our members, with the goal of preventing homelessness through eviction prevention.  
 Participants in the Money Matters program are eligible for this training.
