Overview

Employment Program

PARC’s Employment Program helps members build the skills, confidence, and support needed to find and keep work. Through training and hands-on experience, the program strengthens employment readiness, well-being, and community connection, supporting pathways to stability, independence, and long-term success.

Who it helps: Open to individuals (18+) seeking employment support but require additional
guidance to secure or maintain employment or further education.

1- Member Volunteer Program

Supports individuals interested in volunteering to build transferable skills, confidence, and
community connection. Volunteers play an essential role in program operations and help create
a welcoming environment. Opportunities include drop-in support, bussing, welcome host roles,
and assistance with programs and events, helping members build skills and pathways for
personal and professional growth.

2- Member Kitchen & Cleaning Employment Program

PARC members can access employment opportunities in kitchen and cleaning roles through the
member employment initiative to build skills, increase social inclusion, improve well-being, and
explore employment opportunities beyond PARC.

3- Member Employment Skills Group Drop-In

The Employment Program provides members with the chance to re-enter the workforce, cultivate life skills, create purposeful activities supporting recovery, and engage in one-on-one meetings with an employment worker.

1:1 Member Employment Counselling

PARC’s Employment Clinic provides resources and support to job seekers facing barriers related
to mental health and substance use challenges. Through personalized one-on-one consultations
and networking opportunities, members can gain tools to help with their job searches and career development.
