As we celebrate 45 years of PARC, we’re excited to continue sharing PARC Stories, highlighting what PARC truly means to our members. This month, we’re featuring Caroline’s story.

When did you first start coming to PARC?

I started coming to PARC about six or seven years ago.

What activities or programs do you participate in at PARC?

I participate in the workshops like the employment program, smoking cessation and knitting. I also go on camp every year.

What does PARC mean to you?

PARC means a lot to me. For starters, PARC was there for me when I was going through crisis. When I came to PARC the first person I met was Victor Willis and Bob, they helped me through my crisis. There is a lot PARC has to offer.

How has being part of PARC impacted your life?

It changed a lot in my life because, I had skin cancer in the eye and they were there for me to help me. They helped me through that crisis. Being part of PARC has had a positive impact on me.

What would you like the community to know about PARC?

PARC is trying to help the community by helping people who are homeless and have no food to eat. They always make sure people have food to eat.

Something you think is special about PARC?

The special thing about PARC is them trying to make people feel safe and at home and also the positive impact they have on people.
