Supportive Housing
PARC Supportive Housing
PARC supportive housing is designed for people experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges – combines deeply affordable rental units with on-site or closely linked support services to address complex needs. We provide a holistic approach focused on housing stability through collaborative care coordination. Our integrated services are tailored to meet individual needs, rooted in a housing-first, harm reduction and trauma informed approach, that fosters connections to culturally appropriate services.
PARC operates 109 units of supportive housing in independent living settings, a rooming house and a boarding home. We have a reputation and practice built on supporting individuals, many of whom struggled to maintain housing in the private market. Our work is guided by a deep commitment to harm reduction and is rooted in community development.
The PARC support model creates opportunities for tenants to have social connections and improve health, and encourages access to employment, arts, and recreation.
PARC uses a Housing First approach, which provides individuals with immediate access to permanent housing without readiness requirements. Tenants are supported with immediate access to rent supplements and mental health support services. Our tenants are encouraged to access the PARC Drop-In, which serves as a social and recreational hub and strengthens community connections.
Supportive housing at PARC requires a referral via The Access Point or Coordinated Access.
