For 2016 we are now the “Humber” Ride4RealFood and are welcoming the Toronto Region Conservation Authority as our newest partner. New this year, there is no registration fee just minimum fundraising thresholds. Individual riders must raise $200 and teams must raise $500 to ride.Riders who reach the minimum $600 goal ($1,000 for teams) will be entered into a draw for prizes
A partnership between Coop Cred Program, West End Food Coop, Greenest City, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and PARC. PARC is a community agency in Parkdale working with members on mental health and poverty issues. Coop Cred, participants volunteer their labour and receive “cred”that can be used to buy their own fresh, local groceries at WEFC or the Monday Sorauren Farmers Market.
Today, thanks to Coop Cred Program, every $600 raised by Humber Ride4RealFood boosts one person’s diet with their choice of fresh, healthy and local food for one year. Boosts in self-esteem are immeasurable.
ALL DONATIONS $20 AND OVER WILL RECEIVE A CHARITABLE TAX RECEIPT.
