Summary of Position: (Kitchen Assistant)
Kitchen Volunteer assists the Peer Kitchen Crew Leader/Food Service Program Chef in ensuring the smooth functioning of the PARC drop-in centre’s daily food service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sorting and ensuring safe storage of food supply
- Working with Peer Kitchen Crew Leaders to prepare the lunch menu, soup, healthy snacks and the following day’s breakfast
- Updating the following day’s lead volunteer on the planned menu
- Ensuring the kitchen is tidy at the end of the shift
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds
Other Related Information:
- The volunteer reports to Alain Lavesque, Food Service/Program Chef
- The duration is for at least 3 months
- The hours of work are one 4-hour shift per week
